Primark has announced that its new store in the Torre Sevilla shopping centre will open its doors at the end of September this year and will create 200 jobs.
The new Primark store in Seville will have more than 5,000 square meters of commercial space distributed over two floors, and will be equipped with "the latest trends" in fashion for women, men and children, including footwear and accessories, as well as underwear and Home furniture.
The design and layout of the space are based on the most modern Primark style, with 47 changing rooms, 41 tills (including refunds and returns), five phone recharging areas to enjoy pleasant and practical shopping and free Wi-Fi access. The area dedicated to employees will have open spaces with "modern and very comfortable services", such as an area for coffee and a bright and fully equipped kitchen.
The general director of Primark in Spain, Portugal and Italy, Stephen Mullen, has states that the company is "very satisfied" and "very happy" to open its first store in Seville. Mullen explained that "there are many expectations" every time a new Primark store opens, since "we always expect very good results" and the case of Seville is no different. The Torre Sevilla shopping centre will be the first store in Seville, but there are already plans to open another one in the same city, this time in the Palmas Altas shopping centre, which will be one of the largest in Europe.
According to the director of Primark the opening in Palmas Altas is a "great opportunity" to have two stores in the fourth most important city in Spain. "We wanted to be, here" he said, while pointing out that the two stores in Seville "will be in very different areas" but "the same products will be available" in both and "the same effort" will be made.
Mullen has stated that the company also plans to open a store in the city of Almeria. Up until now, there has been only one Primark store within the province of Almeria which is in Roquetas de Mar. According to the company the stores currently open in Andalucia, in addition to the Roquetas store, are located in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), Algeciras (Cádiz), Málaga capital, Fuengirola, Córdoba, Huelva and Granada.
